It’s almost like a summer tradition. Ever since high school, I’d start a blog a few weeks after school ends, write about how bored I am, and forget about it sometime in June. But since my summer ends on April 14, maybe I’ll rant about how UNbored I am. Anyway, whatever happens to this, I’m blogging now!
So far, all I’ve accomplished is watching Beauty and the Beast without closing my eyes (and ears) AT ALL when the Beast roars and especially during that awful fight scene with Gaston. I used to run out of the room. Hahaha yes, I know it’s just a cartoon, but I really used to be scared of the Beast. And of Ursula. And of Maleficent. And now, I’m not! Major accomplishment. I haven’t watched those shows in years!
I wake up at 1, sleep at 2, and watch random movies and shows (hence, the Disney marathon) in between, with a few dinners and night outs in between. I love lazy summers. And I better make the most of lazing around as I can because school starts in a little more than a week.
So my lazy summer goes by…too quickly. And I spend it by watching both cartoons and real people sing, either hopelessly about true love or remaking the Beatles, Dolly Parton and whoever else will “mentor” them. And by reading The Hum on E! and Perez Hilton. I swear, it’s funny. And by watching BBC and CNN. Watching how awful it is in other countries (Iraq, Zimbabwe) makes me feel better about our country.
Speaking of our country, is it just me who thinks that Jun Lozada is a giant sleaze ball? I mean, obviously, he had to have something (millions) to gain in that stupid deal, too. If he didn’t come out by himself, something would appear to point to him. And people are actually treating him like a hero?? God. I’d rather the Filipinos go back to worshipping Pacquiao. At least you see that he actually boxes. UGH. Granted, he “exposed something” or whatever. But is that reason for people to suddenly hero worship him and (ugh) let him give TALKS to schools??? Voice of Truth, my ass. Did anyone else notice his ugly t-shirts? Ew. And then you see former presidents who are supposed to be retired already and OFF politics, going around politicking with him and going to mass with him. What the hell.
Ugh the Philippines is hopeless. I’m going to watch CNN again.
